The Secret - Problems We Encountered

We have found scheduling to be a frequent problem between the group and the actors. As our actors are heavily involved in drama and other extra-curriculars, as well as our studies, it has been difficult to work around both groups' schedules. However, we have decided to help this problem by only using one of the actors at our location - the other actor will be on FaceTime, meaning that it is easy to contact him at anytime and it means that we only have to schedule with one actor.

5th April 2017

As time went on, we found it increasingly difficult to find a time that suited all of our team and actors. We filmed yesterday however, the morning before we discovered that Maeve was not going to be available to film due to other priorities. In order to overcome this, we had to change the location as her house would not be available so we used one of our actors houses. As his house is a bungalow, we were no longer able to use our initial idea of having the credits appear on the stairs so we filmed him entering his house and the credits will be here. 

Maeve's unavailability on the day also led us to the problem of not having an actor to play the mother in the film, so in order to resolve this, Andrea played the role of the sister instead of the mother. Whilst this may have not had the effect we initially hoped for, we still believe it is highly effective and also will show how homophobia is even instilled in the youth.
